We are proud to be the only digital agency to make the annual Employer of Choice list for 2015.

Quite an achievement given our merger with Bruce Clay Australasia in mid-2013. This change saw two companies (and effectively two cultures) combine to become one integrated offering.

The Australian Business Award for Employer of Choice recognises organisations which have developed leading workplaces. It is judged on the ability to maximise the full potential of their workforce through effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.

According to the MFA 2014 survey, the facts for our industry are:

  • 53% of agency staff have less than 4 years’ experience
  • The average voluntary turnover is 26.8%
  • 13% of these go to a competing agency – the second highest being leaving the industry at 4.3%

We have decreased turnover by 27% in the last 12 months

The secret, according to Joint CEO, Jeremy Bolt, is deceptively simple. He says, “At Resolution we aim to #BeRemarkable. Kate Gamble, one the Directors here at Resolution as well as the Head of Content, also won the Grand Prix at the 30Under30 Awards, this year. This was largely due to her unique and brave submission on how to get the most from the next generation of media talent – a generation who need more intrinsic motivation to be inspired and retained.
